Kirkconnell flow - Dumfries

This has got to be our favourite place.
We were there for 4 hours today just running round,sniffing,chasing.Fantastic.
And deer,well there were loads today,not just one or two but a herd of them,it was very tempting for us to chase them,but mum called me back,Craven didn't even see them.!
Mum took some photo's but she said they weren't very good,so she is going to put one she took of herself up so you can see what the place is like.

Ae forest - Dumfries and Galloway

It was misty and murky today,but at least it was dry.
Craven had to stay on his longline today as last time we were here he was naughty and wouldn't come back,I was offlead nearly all the time,and I behaved as I didn't want to have to go on my longline the next time we went there.
We both had our new harnesses on today,they are quite comfy although we weren't sure at first as they are totally different to the ones we normally wear.

Heathhall forest - Dumfries

We set off to go to Ae forest,but as we got nearer there was snow on the road,so mum said that we had better not go there as we have to drive a mile down a forest track,so she turned the car round and we went to Heathhall which was good as there are usually lots of dogs there.
But not today though,it was a damp,murky day and all the other doggies must have been at home sitting in front of their fires as we only met 1 other dog.
There were some workmen in the forest building another path,so that will be exciting when we go back,mum said it will be ready in 2 weeks time and that we will come back then to have a walk on it.

Criffel - Dumfries and Galloway

Remember I told you all about a hill called Criffel that mum was going to take us up,well today she did,it was a lovely day,the sun was shining.
When we got to the car park the hill looked huge close up.We set off and it was really frosty and beautiful.
It was a hard slog up the hill and it was slippy in places as it was icy and there was snow up there too.
But.....................we only managed to get half way up as mum said it was too slippy and dangerous for her,but she did say that when the weather gets better we will go all the way up.

Nunholm - Dumfries and Dumfries town centre

Today we went down to the river,then instead of going our normal way mum took us over a bridge and through some fields at the other side of the river.
Craven got to play with a dog,and he behaved himself and came back to mum when she asked him to.!!!
After we had been to the river we thought we were going home,but mum took us into town for some 'socialisation' whatever that is,we just wanted to say hello to the people and their doggies
But we were very well behaved,and there were lots of different smells in town and lots of food on the floor,but we didn't try to eat it,as it seemed to be the seagulls food.

Home

Well it must be Friday cos we are home.

Mum came to pick us up just as we were coming back from a walk,we heard our car and we got excited,so as soon as she pulled up we jumped in.

We came straight home and mum gave us both a huge bone to chew on,we are going to go to sleep now though because it was quite noisy in the kennels and we didn't sleep much.

It's good to be home.

Mabie kennels - Dumfries

Oh no,I'm confused,mum took us a lovely walk and then she took us to a building that has lots of dogs barking inside,she spoke to a lady and then she took us down to a huge cage thing with a big bed in it.
Then the lady opened a little door and we went outside.
But them mum left us.!!! she gave us both a kiss and said she will see us on Friday,whatever that is.
Craven seems ok,but I'm a little bit scared,Craven has said that mum did this to him last year and he had great fun playing and barking with the other dogs,but I'm not sure.
I hope mum comes back real soon.
