Maxwelltown railway path - Dumfries

Craven is still recovering from his stitches and is not allowed offlead yet.
The walk we went on today used to be an old railway line,the railway used to go all the way to Stranraer,but it's been closed for a long time now,and they have made a nice long path for us to walk on.
It was a nice walk,mum liked it coz it was flat.
We didn't go all the way to the end though.

Kingholm Quay to Kelton - Dumfries and Galloway

Well we were right Craven did have to go to the vets and today he went in and the vet gave him some stuff that knocked him out and they stitched up his wound.He is back home now but very drowsy,he looks funny.
While Craven was in the vets me and mum went for a long walk along the river near home,it was strange with Craven not being there.

Penpont to Kier Mill - Dumfries and Galloway

A new walk today,we set off and went about a mile and then mum realised that we had gone the wrong way! so we turned round and went back and went over the bridge and onto the right footpath,silly mummy.
On the correct footpath mum let us off because she could see it was secure.
So we followed this river Scaur for about 2 miles and then we came back the same way.
Poor Craven has hurt himself though,we didn't realise until we got back home but he has a nasty puncture wound at the top of his back leg.
Mum said she will see what it's like in the morning,but it looks as if Craven might be getting a trip to the vets.

Waterfoot & Barnkirk point - Annan - Dumfries and Galloway

We went to that great place near Annan,we had a run around smelling things and we met a Labrador and 2 Border terriers and one of them tried to fight with Craven.
When walked there and then went back to the car and mum took us to the other side of the river from there to a place called Waterfoot,that was great we were zooming around having a great time.
Mum said because we behaved that she would take us back there and go for a proper walk,as today we only stayed for about half an hour.

The Hills - Dumfries - Dumfries and Galloway

We went to one of our usual walking places today,it was a strange old day,we set off in sunshine,then when we got to the farthest part of the walk all these ice balls fell from the sky,mum said that it was called hail.
Mum had to shelter under a tree as although it was forecast for heavy showers she didn't have her waterproofs with her,she still got wet though as the tree she was sheltering under didn't have many leaves.
It was sun shine again by the time we got back to the car,but we had another hail shower before we got back.

Barnkirk Point and Powfoot - Dumfries and galloway

We went back to that walk near Annan where mum lets us off,it was great,mum thought it would be busy with it being a Sunny Sunday,but it wasn't.We only met 2 dogs we had a play with one and the other one got shouted at for wanting to play with us,poor dog.
Anyway on the way home mum stopped off at a new place for us called Powfoot,it had a huge beach and the tide was out,although we don't really like beaches as there isn't much to smell there,but mum said it was good for her to do some training with us as we didn't have our noses to the ground all the time.!!

River Nith walk - Closeburn - Dumfries and Galloway

We went back to a walk we did a couple of weeks ago,but this time mum let us off our leads.!
We had a great time running around and sniffing,we met a few other dogs and they were all nice,we met a terrier that was also a rescue like Flint.
It was a lovely day,a bit windy,but the sun was shining most of the time.

Barnkirk point - from Newbie - Dumfries and Galloway

We went back to that walk that we did on Saturday but we did it from the opposite end.
We met a few dogs a border terrier and a very friendly Collie,we were off lead all the time and had a great run around.

Gallaberry walk - nr Lockerbie - Dumfries and Galloway

Mum couldn't decide where to go today as it was a bit miserable and wet so we went on this new walk,it was quite good,but mum says she doesn't think we will go again as it was too near the M74 motorway and was noisy.
It was a woodland walk and then a river walk,the good bit was there was a stretch of the river walk that was fenced in so mum let us off,it was about a quarter of a mile so we had a good run about.

Barnkirk point - Annan - Dumfries and Galloway

We had never been on this walk before,first we set off from the town centre,which we never normally do,but then we were soon down on the path by the river,we walked along this path for miles,well just over 2.Then we had to walk past this field with cows and calves in and mum was scared as they were right up against the fence,but we said we would behave and she would be fine.silly mummy.
When we got to the end we walked along another path right by the sea and mum let us off.!!
We had a great time,but we got hot with all the running around and there was no fresh water,we kept trying to drink the sea water but it tasted funny.

Glencaple - Dumfries and Galloway

Yay they have extended one of our favourite walks,they have built 2 new bridges across the rivers so now we will be a able to walk all the way from our house all along the river to where we were today.
We couldn't do that today as mum said we didn't have enough time as she had to go to work today,but she has promised that if we are good we will do it soon,she says it will be a real long walk.

Heathhall forest - Dumfries

We went back and did one of our usual walks today after over a week of doing new ones,it was good to be back as there were lots of new smells for us to smell.
We met a few dogs and most of them were happy to say hello.
It was very cold today though and it was snowing,a lot different to last week.

Ae forest - Dumfries and Galloway

Today we went to the forest with mums friend and her dog Xiva.It was a great walk we were there for 3 hours,but mum was a bit upset with us as she said we were pulling too much.What did she expect,she normally lets us off the lead here,but she kept us on today.
