Dundeugh wood - nr St. Johns of Dalry - Dumfries & Galloway

Today we went somewhere new again,we travelled for ages although mum said it was only an hour,it was to a new wood that mum had found on her map things.
I think she regretted it when we got there as there were deer in the forest, mum thought that because the wood was on an island that there might not be any there, but there were.
It was a bit of a damp wet day,so mum didn't get many good photos.

Balcary Point - Dumfries and Galloway

Somewhere new again today,we went on a coastal walk, the coastal path was narrow and the cliffs were steep, but it was great, but then all of a sudden mum said she couldn't go any further as it was too dangerous.!
So she made us turn round and go back.!
But to make up for it we stopped off at Auchencairn on the way back and had a walk round Auchencairn bay to Red Haven, but there were cows in those fields so we didn't go any further there.

Lamb Island - Threave Castle estate - Dumfries & Galloway

Today we picked up mums friend Emma and 2 of her dogs Xiva and Dixie and went for a new walk,it was a wet morning but we still enjoyed it as the sun got out later on.
The walk was a good one as we could go off the lead, although Craven did disappear for a while.! as he managed to find a way through the fencing.
But at the end of the walk was an actual island where we could run and run through the wood that was on there.

Heathhall forest - Dumfries - Dumfries and Galloway

Another wet miserable day,so mum took us to the forest, she had us both on something she called Flexi leads, they were quite good, you can pull right to the end of them.!
But mum can also pull us in quite quickly which wasn't so good, but we were both well behaved and didn't pull too much.

Dalbeattie forest - Dumfries and Galloway

Woohoo mum took us to the forest and let us off the lead.!!

What a lovely day it was,the sun was shining and there was a lovely breeze, and we met lots and lots of dogs, mostly Labradors, but there were also Lurchers and terriers, and all of them were really friendly,so we had a bit of a play with most of them,Flint just had a little play though.

It was such a nice day that we went round the walk twice.

Kingholm Quay to Kelton

A walk from our house,we hadn't been all along this walk for ages and it was a nice day for it too,the sun was shining and it was quite warm.
Craven had to be on his longline though because they have put 2 bridges over the channels and now there is nothing to stop Craven. So until he starts behaving himself he will have to stay on his longline on this walk.

Southerness beach - Dumfries and Galloway

Oh Cravens in the dog house.! We went to the beach and he disappeared into the grass at the side and wouldn't come back.
It turns out that there are deer that come that close to the sea and they visit the golf course next to the beach and that's where Craven went.
So no pictures of Craven and he's back on a longline when we go there again.!

But I was a good boy and stayed close to mum the whole time.

Brownmoor wood - Ecclefechan - Dumfries and Galloway

Another new walk for us today,we drove down to a place called Ecclefechan and to a wood on the edge of the village.
When we got there mum could see that it was a secure wood even though it looked big,so she let us off,Flint as usual behaved himself and stayed close to mum,me I went exploring.!!
There were lots of deer smells in the wood but I couldn't find any.It was a long walk and we were out for over 3 hours.

Camping - Cheshire & Oswestry - 1st - 6th June 2012

Another camping holiday, this time we went south to Sandbach in Cheshire where there was a fun day for the Foxhound welfare,we entered a couple of classes and won some rosettes.

Then on the Sunday mum took our tent down in pouring rain, and we set off in the car to a place called Oswestry, she then had to put up the tent again all in the pouring rain,so on Sunday we didn't really go anywhere.
This is us in Oswestry town centre.

We were on the Welsh borders so we spent quite a bit of time in Wales, here we are at a waterfall near Betws-y-coed.

At a reservoir called Llyn Celyn.

Llyn Tegid lake at Bala
Llangollen canal
And near the campsite was Nesscliffe hill country park.
And that park had an old Highwaymans cave in it,how cool is that.!
